Kids Afternoon Classes Summer 2026
Kids in class will be introduced to a variety of techniques, skills, in hand building, wheel throwing and glazing. As kids improve their skills, they will be encouraged to explore and develop more independently. As usual all the classes will have opportunities on the wheel. Kids classes are 1.5 hour long.
*Are you are concerned about missing a class? Switching and making up classes are usually available. I should be able to accommodate missed sick days or conflicts with family/school plans. You must contact Ryan about switching days or making up missed classes.

Weekly Camp, Monday - Friday 10AM - 3PM
Summer art camp offers creative adventures exploring various mediums like painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking and more in one part of the studio with instructor Terri Angarone and hand building and wheel with clay in the Bothwell Pottery part of the studio. Campers will be split to work in both studios and then switch in the afternoon.
Campers should bring a lunch (1 hour for lunch, we will walk to Kiwanis Park weather permitting) and water bottle. No nuts please! Parents or Guardians will have to check in/ check out their child/children.
Ages: 6-15 years
Tuition: $450/wk
Starting June 5th! Fridays 4:30-6:30
Teens can come for just one day but they may beg to come back. I will help them create pottery though a variety of techniques basedon thier interest. They will get thier project back typically in a week or so. Then I will show them how to paint and glaze it. If they throw on the wheel they will have to come back to complete the project or just enjoy the attempts.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
Registration preferred. Buy 1 day and use any Friday or buy in advanced or Pay on the day. Space priority to registered teens. Introductory $5 discount.

Join us for a pre Father's Day workshop in the Brookfield brewery! Bothwell Pottery brings his studio to us on Friday 6/12! Make a mug for dad through a 1.5hr guided workshop that includes all materials, tools, and a beer! Ryan will glaze 'em and fire up the kiln so your mug will be ready for a fresh pour on fathers day weekend with Dad.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Children require adult supervision.

Adult Clay Evenings Wednesdays
Clay Evenings is a pottery class for all levels. If you are looking for a class to learn all the basics of pottery, I will provide all the material and supplies, along with as much instruction as you need. Likewise you can use the space and time to explore and develop your skills independently. If you are interested in working on the wheel, there is clay for purchase.
3 classes for $90
25# clay is $50 (absolutely no outside clay.)
With Registration:
-Enjoy 3 evenings in the studio, create hand-built one of a kind creations with all the instruction and support you will need. Students will have the option to use studio recycled clay or purchase new clay.
-Want to try the wheel? Purchase clay and you can spend the class working on the pottery wheel. Clay must be purchased from the studio, 25# bag is $50, purchased clay will include all the necessary tools, firings, glaze.
Sign up and come to any Wednesday you are available. It is preferred that the classes are used consecutively but can be used up to the end of the following month.

Me and My Little One
This is a class for moms, dads, grandparents or anyone that would like to bring a youngster to a pottery class. We will work together to come up with a few projects to create along with or work by the side of your little one. All participants will be making and participating. I will provide all the skills, tools, clay, glazes and instruction you will need to complete ceramic projects from start to finish. Two days of creating and decorating the clay projects. One day to paint, glaze and finish the projects. I will suggest and prefer a 1:1 or at most 1:2 adult to child ratio.
**CURRENTLY NO CLASS OFFERING**
Birthday Parties, Scout Troops, Celebrate a special event at Bothwell Pottery. Parties last from one to two hours. Often we will work together to pick a theme or project. For example the Harry Potter inspired mandrake pots, Bobble heads, Mug with a soccer team name, player number or logo. All the projects are individually hand made by the participants.
Parties start at $100 event fee plus $20 a participant. Minimum 8 kids and max is around 12.

My passion for Pottery started in 2014. While I have created with clay since high school, throwing on the pottery wheel fascinated me. Bothwell Pottery has long been a dream of mine. Offering handbuilding and wheel classes to artists young and old. Outside of art, I love fishing, skiing and travelling.
